We did this with our kids while we were camping. It was a real treat and easy to do.
All you need is 1/2 cup milk, 1/2 cup heavy cream, 1/4 cup sugar and 1/4 teaspoon vanilla. Mix all the ingredients in a quart baggie. Seal it well. In a gallon baggie, place 2-4 cups ice and a cup or so of rock salt. Put the quart baggie inside the gallon baggie and seal well. Squish and squeeze the ingredients til you have thick creamy ice cream.
"I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!"
