Did You Know How To Make A Link Within Your Blog?

Did you know how to make a link within your blog?

When I first began blogging, that was a goal that I had-to learn to make those great clickable links within my blog so that folks could jump straight to the wonderful thing I was pointing them to. Lately, I've had a few new blogging friends ask how to make a link with in a blog. It really is very simple, though a bit hard to explain (can't just show you, for it would turn it into a clickable link!)

First of all, your anchor text is the word or words that will be highlighted, the ones which you click to take you to another site. Before these words you will need to insert a code containing the URL of the site to which you are pointing. First you start with the < symbol. Then you type the letter a followed by a space. Next you type in href= followed by the open quotation mark ("). Then you insert the URL of the site, starting with http:// After this, insert the close quotation mark (") followed by the > symbol. Here is where you type in your anchor text. Then after your chosen anchor text you begin with the < symbol followed by the backslash (/). Then type letter a and the > symbol.

If any of this made sense, you should now have a clickable link within your blog post!
