Did you know how to make a smoothie?
This is a great summer treat or a great meal in itself. You can make healthy smoothies right in your own home. Here is what I like to put in mine:
I dilute 100% unsweetened cranberry juice-2 cups juice, then fill a pitcher the rest of the way to make a gallon. I use about 1/2 cup or so of this juice to make my smoothies. I add half a frozen banana, 3 frozen strawberries, about 1/3 or 1/4 cup frozen blueberries. Add 1 tablespoon of flax seed oil, a scoop of vanilla protein powder, and a teaspoon of psyllium husks. Puree all this in a blender til smooth and creamy. Delicious and nutritious!
