Did You Know About Halloween the Movie?

Did You Know About Halloween the movie?

The first Halloween movie came out when I was just a kid. I have not seen any of the Halloween movies. The latest release in the Halloween movie series will be released at the end of this month, August 31. This latest Halloween flick is directed by Rob Zombie (what a great name for the director of this movie!) I am sure there will be many folks flocking to check out the latest version of the Halloween saga.

Halloween the movie has had an impact on our society throughout the years. Kids are afraid to be left to babysit. Kids are scared of the holiday on October 31.

This latest release is a remake of the 1978 Hollywood classic directed by John Carpenter. It was one of the first slasher/horror type movies release, which in turn spawned a long line of other releases over the next two decades in this genre. The original Halloween is said to have been inspired by Afred Hitchcock’s Psycho (possibly the scariest movie I’ve ever seen! One which still haunts me today if I think on it too much.) It was produced on a low budget of $325,000 but grossed over $47 million! Many first time viewers of the original Halloween movie are surprised by how little graphic violence and gore are actually portrayed.

The newly released Halloween movie expects to big a box office hit. You can view the trailer today and see what you think. How will this newly imagined version compare to the original? Is the remake better than the first? Will Rob Zombie add any new angle to the updated version? Will he up the ante on the level of violence shown? Just what awaits us this Halloween?
