Did you know about lap band surgery?
It seems as if this is all the rage in weight loss these days. Every time I turn on the TV, I see another add for the lap-band procedure. But just what is it? How does it work?
Lap band surgery is actually a procedure of making tiny incisions and inserting long shafted instruments to place the silicone band around the upper part of the stomach. The surgeon also inserts a tiny camera to view the operation on a monitor. The band is secured around the stomach much like a wristwatch fits the wrist. The band is locked securely around the stomach. This creates a smaller stomach pouch, causing the sensation of feeling full faster, causing you to eat less. In this manner, you can feel full and satisfied quicker, meaning you will eat less and lose weight.
