Did You Know How Long Ago People Began Cultivating Seeds?

Did you know how long ago people began cultivating seeds?

It has been known that people long ago domesticated plants, cultivating them rather than having to go out collecting wild plants. It has not been known when humans first began doing this. It seems that it has been over 10,000 years ago. The oldest New World evidence was found in a study in the Peruvian Andes. There were found some squash seeds dated about 9,240 years ago. Because squash does not grow wild here, it is concluded that the squash was brought in by early agriculture communities moving into the area.
