Did You Know About the Fork Tailed Palm Swift?

Did you know about the fork tailed palm swift?

This bird is found in the Amazon palm grove. They have been known to build nests out of plant matter, saliva and feathers. What has just recently been observed is how they get these feathers. The have been seen ripping them right off another bird's back, in flight! It was reported that the swift circles high above his home, then strikes his "victim" in the back and pulls the feathers off. The swift apparantly prefers parrot and pigeon feathers to build his nest.
