Did you know you have to unscrew the stem to air up bike tires?
My husband said it was about time to air up my bike tires today. I told him that every time I try to, it never does any good. It doesn't seem as if any air is going into the tires. So he came out with me to look. I unscrewed the plastic cap and was trying to pump in some air. He told me to wait and showed me that the stem itself also has to be unscrewed! (I'd never heard of that before!) And, I had the pump applied wrong as well. So I really wasn't getting any air into the tires! He also reminded me to look at the imprint on the tire to see how much air to put in (the recommended PSI is printed on the tire.)
