Did You Know Camping in State Parks is Affordable?

Did you know camping in state parks is affordable?

We just took our family for the weekend. It was wonderful! We rented a shelter in a state park. These ran $20 a night. That is very affordable. To top it all off, we have a park pass which saves on park entrance fees, and we had a coupon for 50% off one night's stay. For three night's camping, we paid less than we would for a cheap hotel. And it was much more fun! Being out in nature, relaxing, sitting by the fire....

Check out your local state parks for your next weekend getaway.

they turned out pretty good. it was a learning experience as it was our first time.

The first time we tried w/ veggies and shrimp. It was too over done. But we had put some shrimp and butter by itself in one and put ontop of the grill grate. It turned out excellent. Only needed some pepper.

We will definitely do those again.

The steaks we had turned out nice too. We did not have enough though! We had skipped lunch, so we ended up eating all our steak and then grilling hot dogs anyway! :)

oh yeah, the corn on the cob...super!
