Did You Know That Staying Up All Night Can Help With Jet Lag?

At least in my experience, this has been the case. I don't travel often, so when we take a really long journey, jet lag hits me hard. We have traveled several times overseas and it seems to take me a week or more to adjust to the 13 hour time difference.

However, on our last trip overseas, my sister mentioned that she stays up all night the night before her trips. This enables her to sleep on the plane, sort of thrusting her body into an artificial jet lagged state to begin with.

I tried it, and it really seemed to work for me. I was able to sleep on the plane much easier and when we reached our destination, it seemed to take less than a week to adjust to the time difference. I also had an easier time staying awake for the first few days, as my body had already been adjusting to the difference in night and day.

Many people may not remember that James Garfield was our 20th US president and that he was a talented guy! He was apparantly both multilingual as well as ambidextrous! Maybe he isn't so well remembered because he only served as President for four months before he was shot by an assassin.

Did You Know That You Can Break Bones Just By Coughing?

It happened to me almost two years ago now. I apparantly had bronchitis and never went to the doctor. But the cough was awful and lasted a while. When I finally got over feeling bad, I tried to go about my normal routine. When I began my jogging again, I felt a pain in my side but attributed it to a side stitch from laying off my routine. The pain never went away, in fact, it worsened. I finally called my PA and she said it sounded like I had broken a rib. I told her I'd done nothing but had been sick. She had me come in the next day for x-rays. Sure enough, I had three broken ribs! She said it is not uncommon for folks to cough so hard with bronchitis that they break ribs. Since then I have heard of several other people to whom this same thing has happened!

Did You Know That Little Ceaser's Has Limited Payment Options?

Last night my son had a birthday party with nine of his closest friends! We stopped at Little Ceaser's to pick up some pizzas. When she rang up the total I pulled out my Discover card. The cashier asked if I had another card, because they do not take Discover. So I went home to get the checkbook. I went back to pick up the pizzas. As I started to write my check, the girl told me they do not take checks either! Ok, at this point, a fair amount of time has passed and we have some hungry people on hand! I go back to the house and my husband goes back with cash to pay for the six pizzas we ordered! yes, they do take cash.

Did You Know That Disney World Flies A Different Flag?

At Disney World in Florida, U.S.A., a different flag is flown other than the current national flag. The flag flown in the World is a forty-eight star flag. This is apparantly done so that the same respect does not have to be shown, thus less care has to be taken about the flag. For example, it can be flown at night withtout a light shining on it. I guess this leaves more time to focus on the FUN!
